Yeah, I'm suspicious of this one.
If it isn't "gaming the game", this could be the creators' way of telling us we're off the mark, narrative-wise. "Still latching onto our narratives" is interesting to me. Any ARG, practically, is an evaluative process of privileging certain clues over others to generate a certain narrative. Yet, we're not supposed to do that. We're supposed to go crazy, combing over every last detail as if it could be the most important thing.
Maybe we need to do more combing...

Which was about Augustine's sinfulness as a young man leading up to his salvation, of sorts, right? Sounds a lot like JP, though I don't know how any of that ties in with the document itself, or what, precisely, we are supposed to do even if we DO understand how it ties to the document.
Unless this is not to be trusted, which is, currently, what I choose to trust.
